Fortunately, our strategy and actions have a great positive impact on our worldwide position. We are proud on this confirmation from the market, which is clearly a success which we attribute to the positive co-operation between you and your partners within Buhrs.
With over 230 envelope inserting systems and over 50 film and paper wrapping systems, the UK is our largest single market in Europe. We thank our distributor Computermail for this great achievement. Now that the owner and managing director of Computermail, Trevor Eden, has expressed his wish to retire, Buhrs will take over the distribution in the UK. With the establishment of Buhrs UK Ltd, that will be fully operational in June, we ensure a strong continuity on the UK market with more direct focus and involvement. We are proud to announce that we have employed Mr John Ricketts as Managing Director of Buhrs UK Ltd. At present, John Ricketts fulfills the position of Sales Director Production Printing Systems at Océ (UK) Ltd.
In the last couple of months there have been several highlights, I would like to share with you. Buhrs-Zaandam has received the order for delivery of a Buhrs 4000 Film & Paper Wrapping System to Polestar Greaves for wrapping supplements such as magazines, CD’s and DVD’s with weekend newspapers. This system is the leading technological solution for wrapping a vast range of different graphical and other media products at high speed. In addition to that, Buhrs-ITM has been very successful with obtaining the order from Real Digital Ltd. for the supply of eight intelligent envelope inserting systems. With all the progress and success in the UK, the year 2006 will become a historical year for Buhrs.
The world is larger than the UK alone and we continuously work on further improving our worldwide position. We do this by offering the most flexible systems with the best price / performance ratio and high service level and by our focus on co-operation with customers, suppliers and partners as well as having the best people.
At Buhrs-Zaandam we strengthened our Management Team with the employment of Mr Hans Gaillard, who is responsible for development and production and Mr Kees van Hoeven, who will be responsible for marketing.
Our company Buhrs-Fulfillment Systems BV in Utrecht, which develops custom built systems and modules, is now also responsible for sales and marketing and after sales service of envelope inserting systems in The Netherlands. For this reason we strengthened our service department with the employment of two service engineers. Mr Ser van de Graaf, Sales Manager, will be your partner for envelope inserting systems and custom built systems in the Netherlands.
We are proud on the significant achievements in the USA with the supply of another six Buhrs 3000 Film Wrapping Systems to American Greetings and four systems for the co-mailing of magazines to RR Donnelly and Brown Printing.
